I have a vast array of teaching experience. I have taught science at the middle school level and a variety of math classes, including advanced math, to high school students. I help students prepare for the GRE, ACT, SAT, PSAT, ISEE, and the GED. I have earned a Certificate of Excellence from passing the Praxis Mathematics certification exams with a very high score. I possess two teaching certificates from New Jersey. I also am active in higher education. I have held seminars, given talks, and conducted readings at several universities, including Harvard and Oxford. Previously, I have taught western humanities at Montclair State University and Russian history at New York University.Because of my 12 years of teaching, I am able to focus on a student's unique learning requirements. I would like to work with students to help them develop better study habits and coach them to a better academic performance.In addition to my teaching career, I have written seven poetry books and received several awards, including first prize in an international translation competition in 2012. My other hobbies include listening to music, photography, and skiing.
