I currently reside in Paramus, New Jersey. I understand that choosing a tutor is a significant decision and, to that end, I'd like to share some information about myself. I graduated cum laude from Drew University with a degree in Theater Arts. I also hold a master's degree in Teaching from Marygrove College and a graduate endorsement from Rowan University in Special Education.My educational background has helped me to learn a lot about how to take the interests that pupils already have and build upon them. I know that each student has their own individual areas of strength and learning style that need to be taken into account by their tutor in order to get the best results. I make a point of making sessions interesting and challenging the young people that I work with, but not so much that they will find the work too overwhelming.I'm looking for tutoring opportunities in subjects such as Reading, Writing, Phonics, English, Special Education, ISEE, Test Prep, Arithmetic, Elementary Math, and more.My interests outside of tutoring include acting, writing music and the story for children's musicals, and putting on shows as a puppeteer. I also spend time volunteering at a food pantry.
